Rain, Rain, Go Away

It's been raining cats and dogs for days now, the drains are getting full and the whole atmosphere is foggy and chilly. I don't mind rain, it's good. It waters my plants, and lowers the temperature. But when it gets out of hand, it's terrible. Clothes won't dry, some pots are flooded, and delicate flowers are getting pelted by heavy rain.

And it's almost Chinese New Year already. Time sure flies!! I'm currently free for 1 week before school reopens and suffocate me. Sorry to all my fellow bloggers for not being active for so long.

Anyway, I'll try to free my schedule a little and get back to blogging. So stay tuned!

  1. Hi! Good to see your flowery post. I don't have much rain here except for today. It has been drizzling the whole day. No cats and dogs though. It's cold.

Your flowers are still gorgeous despite the rain.

  2. Hi, Aaron. Wow, beautiful flowers blooming in your garden now. Yeah, drizzling the whole day here too, so difficult to dry my stuff after the cleaning. Happy New Year!

  4. Hi Aaron,

Glad to see your comment on my blog. Fyi, I have also been busy from work and hibernating from blogging. Now I try to post at least once a month...what a shame but my schedule just doesn't allow me to do it often.

I am back in hometown in Melaka now. It has been raining cats and dogs for the past 1 day. Seems like we will be having a rainy CNY day this year.

Wishing you and a family a New Year filled with abundance! Gong Xi Fa Cai!!

  6. It rained a lot here as well! Nonetheless, I am happy to see passifloras blooming nicely! They are all your favourites right? As for my vines, I think thunbergia like the rain. But others are not doing so well. Their leaves are less green now. Hmm... vines are very funny... they don't like it too hot either. Growing vines in pots can be a bit challenging. Btw, one of my H. Rosemallow is dying. The leaves are slowly disappearing. I hope the sun will be back soon! Meanwhile, kong hei fatt choy to you and your family ;-D

  7. Thanks, Stephanie!! Yah, I love passifloras. H. Rosemallow is funny, it just wilts for some unknown reason. Gong Xi Fa Cai to you and your family too!!

  9. Its strange to note that some plants do so well when it rains like the ferns & orchids and others seemed to suffer a lot like the roses, and flowering plants.
Have a nice Chinese New Year Aaron.
