The Hot, The Loud and The Proud #7

It's time again for the Hot, the Loud and the Proud meme. It's Foliage Frenzy this time with lots of tropical foliage of various species. Besides, I've shown too much flowers and they need a rest haha.

  1. You have a nice foliage collection, Aaron. I have most of them except the Pitcher plant.I think foliage is more interesting than flowers.

  2. Thanks!! Though I prefer flowers, carnivorous plants are the one exception!

  3. Great foliage and beautifully arranged on your patio! Looks like a very nice tropical setting! Love your pitcher plant! Here where I live, they are very expensive, but I hope to get one someday.

  4. Thanks Floridagirl! I have to give credit to my dad because it was he who bought and arranged the foliage plants. Hope you get a pitcher plant one day.

  6. Hi Aaron, That's a lot of varieties. You have Tillandsias? Where did you get them from? I'm referring to the photo above the pitcher plant.

    Thanks! Tillandsia are so common in nurseries now. i got those tillandsia from various sources, including YG park in Cameron Highland and a nursery in Kluang. I see them in the local nurseries too.

  8. Excellent collection! I can't get enough of foliage plants. I see more and more beautiful ones nowadays. I wish I can have them all :-D As you know my garden is really small in comparison with yours. Nowadays I have to think twice before settling for one new plant.

    Btw, hope you will find some nice poinsettias to bring home ;-)

  9. Thanks Stephanie! I hope you can find the space for more plants! You should consider getting DIY shelves so you can place more plants!

  11. I wasn't a firm believer of foliage plants; but after looking at your photos I am convinced that they do possess great art. Speaking of art, the only 3 foliage plants I had at home saved my brother in-law's wedding day. I cut some of the leaves and made it into part of the fruit basket deco for the 'hantaran' as roses weren't available. I flew them all to Sabah and they stay fresh even after 3 days. Feww! Who says foliage plant has no value...

  13. @Ever Green Tree

    Thanks!!

    @Rough.Rosa

    Thanks too. Though I prefer exotic flowers, I do think that foliage plants are really beautiful in their own way. Pitcher Plants are one example!

    @Becca

    Thanks a lot!

  14. Recently I found two nice and good racks at a junk shop :-D I was looking for racks for so long as I am pretty bad at diy sturdy things. You are right. Shelves can provide more space ;-)
